Greetings! My name is Mrs. Geraci and I teach self-contained E/D.  This is my tenth school year at Nadaburg.  I began teaching special education in the self-contained classes before I moved to general education for the past 4 years.  You will find me around campus assisting Mr. McCandlish with some leadership responsibilities.  I would like to share my teaching philosophy with you…

ALL students have the ability to learn.  In order for this to occur, they need to be given the proper tools in order for them to succeed.  I believe that students learn best when they are working together.  Students in my classroom will have countless opportunities to work in cooperative groups in which all students will participate and create their own learning.  I believe my role in the classroom is facilitator.  I continue to learn just like my students and I do not know everything.  However, I will do my best to find out the things that I do not know.

Let me tell you about myself… I am married with two daughters, Gianna who is five and Amelia who is two. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.  I am originally from New Jersey where I lived for 26 years.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education and my Masters Degree in Educational Administration.

Parents, I would like to keep the lines of communication open.  Please check your child's agenda each night and talk with your child about what they are learning in the classroom.  If you have any questions, please e-mail, call, or leave a note in your child's agenda.  I understand the difficulty of transitioning to the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards.  Utilize the resources on my webpage to assist your child.
